Nightshiftster is my personal writing blog that consists of short stories, memoirs and poetry that I’ve amassed over the last 15 years or so. When I first started this blog, I was just typing up poems that I had on looseleaf, in notebooks, and scrap pieces of paper. Now I try to post at least once or twice a day, or when someone or something moves me. This space has become a sort of habitual sacred haven for me, and I honor it to the best of my ability.
It’s also always been my dream to write or self-publish my own book of poetry. I have had a few poems published and have created a zine, but alas, no book as of yet. I plan on doing so in the near future and for now, wordpress will do. 😉 On a side note, I am happy to say I run a high school literary arts magazine called Epic Toast and we are in our third year of publishing.
I hope you’ll enjoy reading my poetry. Please don’t be afraid or too shy to like posts or leave comments! I really like to hear from people that read my blog. I’m also open to following your blog, so please stay in touch.

First, thank you for the follow. I appreciate that. I self-published a book of my poetry a couple years ago. It’s not hard, and I loved the process. I used iUniverse, but there are many indie publishers out there. Do the research and choose the one that fits your needs. I decided to just go for it, and how glad I am that I did. I want to do another one now and have the idea and title. Now I need to get everything organized and I’ll be on it. I’ll be glad to be support for you if you decide to do this.
